Structural Characterization

The group has different spectroscopies available, from UV to IR, as well as a micro-Raman spectroscope and spectroscopies with magnetic field.

Micro-Raman

JobinYvon LabRam HR with two lasers: HeNe laser of 632 nm and Nd:YAG laser of 532nm wavelength Raman microspectrometer, that is, a Raman spectrometer integrated in an optical micsocope. It allows the stractin of Raman spectra in microscopic areas.

Infrared spectroscopy

Spectrometer FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrarred) Nicolet iS5.

FTIR

Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, with posiblitities of integrating integrated in an otpical microscope.

UV-Vis spectrophotometer

UV-Vis spectrophotometer iS5 (Thermo Scientific) with integrating sphere to measure absorption and reflection in the UV-VIS range (from 200 to 1200 nm wavelength)

Polar Kerr spectroscopy

Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM) is a powerful technique that allows studying the surface of materials at nanometer scale.
