FINDER Research Group

Functional Nanoscale Devices for Energy.

Electricity generation laboratory for self-powered, eco-friendly devices that do not require changing or recharging batteries, based on the capture and management of heat and motion.

Our research is devoted to the improvement of the energy recovery efficiency of different materials and devices via nanostructuration.

Our Team

The group was born in 2010, thanks to ERC Starting Grant awarded to Prof. Marisol Martín.

It is an interdisciplinary group which comprises researchers with a background in chemistry, materials, physics, and engineering who work togehter with a common aim.

The group has published mostly in Q1 journals, with works devoted to thermoelectric nanostructures, structural coloration, magnetic metamaterials, etc.

Our Research Team

Under the direction of Prof. Marisol Martín, a multidisciplinar group united by the common aim of improving the energy consumption in a sustainable way has ben formed.

Equipment

The group has facilities which cover from the fabrication of different materials (from bulk, thin films, to nanostructures) to structural characterization techniques, physical properties measurements and theoretical modelling.
