Luís Moreno Sanabria

Dr. Luis Moreno Sanabria graduated in Chemistry in 2018 and completed a Master’s degree in Applied Materials Chemistry in 2019 at the University of Barcelona (UB), carrying out his Master’s Thesis at the Catalonia Institute of Energy Research (IREC). He then worked as a research assistant in the DIOPMA group (UB), and in November 2020 he started his Ph.D. at the Institute of Ceramics and Glass (ICV-CSIC), under the supervision of Prof. Pilar Miranzo and Dr. Manuel Belmonte in the Technical Ceramics group. His research focused on the development of 3D ceramic structures with directional thermal properties, adapting novel additive manufacturing techniques to fabricate multimaterial ceramic scaffolds and validating experimental and finite element modeling (FEM) methods to analyse the anisotropic thermal properties of patterned porous materials.

In February 2025, he joined the FINDER group under the supervision of Dr. Cristina Vicente.
